Susan  Rauch received her Bachelor’s Degree from Washington State University and has worked in Activities since 1984.  Her first NAAP conference was in 1986 and she has been devoted to NAAP ever since.  Susan was Co-Chair of the Local Arrangements Committee for the 1990 NAAP conference in Seattle, Washington.  She has served on the NAAP Board in the capacity of Public Relations, Convention and Professional Development Trustee prior to being elected President.  Susan is an Activity Consultant and Educator on the local and national level.

Debbie Bera has 32 years of experience in long term care which includes; Nursing Assistant, Activity Assistant and Activity Director. She  has been in the field of activities for 24 years, for the past 21 years as an Activity Director/Volunteer Coordinator.  Debbie has been NCCAP certified since 1990. Shes holds a Basic and Advanced Supervisory Certificate and has an Associate Degree in Applied Science Supervisory Management.  Debbie is a Dementia Care Specialist through the Alzheimer’s Association (Certificate Program). She has been a NAAP member since 1998 and presently serves as the NAAP Vice President.  As Vice President she has overseen the Government Relations, Standards of Practice and Ethics Committees and served on the Executive and Personnel Committees.

Myrtle Klauer has been an Activity Professional for more than thirty-five years.  She holds both national and state certification as an activity professional. As the Director of Resident Services for the Illinois Council on Long Term Care, Myrtle writes a newsletter for the activity professionals and has presented educational sessions touching on all aspects of activities, culture change, professionalism, and the regulations governing long term care facilities.

Vanessa Emm is a Certified Activity Consultant/Instructor by the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals. Vanessa has been in long term care for the past 8 years.  She currently works as the Activity Director for South Lyon Medical Center, along with consultation/educational services to facilities throughout Northern Nevada.  She has presented at national conferences, state conferences and workshops, and previously served on the board of her state association.  Vanessa received her Bachelor Degree in Gerontology from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2002 with an emphasis in Biology and additional training in research and grant writing.

Alisa has worked in Activities since 1983 and has been the Southern Nevada Activity Professionals Association president for the last 5 years. She is Nationally Certified as an Activity Consultant through NCCAP, Board Certified as an Activity Consultant through NAAPCC and a Certified Dementia Practitioner through NCCDP. Alisa has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Provider's Certificate of Specializing in Aging. Alisa is a current MEPAP instructor and believes education is most important for activity professionals. Alisa has served on the LAC during the NAAP conference in Reno as well as multiple committees through NAAP.  Alisa has also been a professional speaker at national & local conferences on a variety of topics dealing with elderly care and professional concerns.

Linda has worked in Activities for 26 years. She has been active in her local and state organization for 24 years and the NAAP for approximately 14 years. She has been Nationally Certified as an Activity Director since 1995. Linda has served her State Association and served on various National committees through the years as well. She has also served on the LAC for the 2 Kansas City National Conferences. She has been a Professional Speaker at national & local conferences on a variety of
topics dealing with elderly care and professional concerns. In 1993, 2000 and 2003.  Linda  was awarded the Activity Director of the Year for the city of St. Louis and the State of MO.  In 1993 she won 3 Best Practice Awards from the Governor's Conference on Aging in the State of MO. She is most proud to have received the NAAP Activity Director of the year in 2009.

Mary Anne Favale has worked over 50 years in the Long Term care industry.  Her career started as a nurse's aide, LPN, Activity Coordinator, Social Service Designee, Volunteer Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and now an Activity Consultant and Educator of the MEPAP.  She is one of the authors of the Consultant Course textbook.Mary Anne is an active member of her local District 14 and her State Association FHCACA since its inception in 1974.  She has served in all positions from President to  Long Range Planning.  She is the first honorary member of FHCACA. She is a Lifetime member of FHCACA. She was chosen as a member of the first class of Florida Health Care Association Florida Leaders. Mary Anne is a charter member of NAAP.  She has held the position of President for two terms as well as many other positions and committees. She received the NAAP Merit Award for Service.  She is certified by NCCAP as a consultant/educator. Mary Anne started her own consulting company.  She has been consulting for 20 years.  She is on the adjunct faculty at Daytona Beach College. She was involved with the task force at the college to develop the Senior Institute.

Irene has been in the Health Care field for over 38 years. She started Nursing School in 1975 and moved into an Activity Department in 1984, getting her certification in 1990 as an Activity Consultant Certified. In 1995, Irene began classes again getting a Master of Science Degree in Health Care Administration, receiving a 3.5 (Cum Laude). She was awarded the Award of Excellence in Health Care Administration with a Certificate of Distinction of Financial Decision Making. In 1989, Irene started volunteering to help NAAP with registrations and Exhibitors for conference and continued to volunteer until January 2009, when she became NAAP's Executive Director. Irene fell in love with NAAP and all its members. NAAP still has her heart today, because she believes in the commitments from all the Activity Directors. They truly love their residents and strive for new and innovative programs to help meet the residents' needs. Education is the main key to meeting these needs. Irene has over 4000 hours of consulting experience working with Independent an Assisted Living along with Long Term Care and Adult Day Care. Irene strives to
 continue to educate Activity Directors and to cultivate and facilitate our profession, providing leadership to best meet the needs of our association by supporting the effectiveness of its already strong foundation.
